BrightLocal vs Local Falcon: which one do you actually need?
You open both websites, and twenty minutes later you still can't tell which one fits. That's normal. These two tools get compared all the time, but they don't really do the same job.
This page is for agency owners and business owners who want to see where they show up on Google Maps, and want to stop paying for things they don't use.
Prices on this page were checked on each tool's own pricing page on Oct 22, 2026.

The short version
BrightLocal is a whole local SEO home base. Local Falcon does one thing, map grid rankings, and goes deep on it.
On Oct 22, 2026, BrightLocal's lowest plan we saw (Track) included local SEO audits, rank tracking for up to 100 keywords and four competitors, a geo-grid for up to five keywords, citation accuracy checks, a Google Business Profile audit and a Local AI Visibility Tracker.
Local Falcon's plans on the same day were Starter $24.99, Basic $49.99, Pro $99.99 and Premium $199.99 a month, billed monthly, and it runs on credits (each grid point uses credits).
Pick BrightLocal if
You want audits, citations, reviews and client reports in one place, and you'd rather log into one tool than four.
Pick Local Falcon if
Your clients mostly ask one question: "where do I show up on the map?" A grid heatmap answers that in one picture.
Can you use both?
Yes, and plenty of agencies do. If money is tight, start with the one that matches the question your clients ask most. Add the other later.
- Some comparison sites list BrightLocal from $39 a month. The price we saw was $31 a month billed yearly ($369 a year). We didn't capture the monthly-billing price.
- We haven't confirmed how many Local Falcon credits each plan includes in a way we can show here. Check their pricing page.
Bottom line
If you only need map grids, Local Falcon costs less to start. If you need the whole kit, BrightLocal saves you from stacking tools.
